All your nbn® plan questions answered
Just two simple steps to connect.
Step 1: Check my address. Enter your address here to see if you can connect to the nbn®, then choose a plan based on your technology type.
Step 2: Get connected. If your nbn® is already active, our friendly support team simply provisions your connection. Timing depends on your technology type, and for FTTP households it can be done within a few hours. Plug your new Swoop router into the data point (or set up your existing router) and enjoy life in the fast lane.
Installation (if required). Some addresses need an nbn® technician to finalise the connection first. If so, you just book a time slot that suits you, and once the work is done you are ready to go.
If your address is on FTTN or FTTC you may be eligible for a $0 fibre upgrade to FTTP. You trigger the upgrade by ordering an eligible high-speed plan, and we coordinate the rest with NBN Co. New developments may attract a $300 NBN Co new development charge.
Check your address here to see if you qualify for a $0 fibre upgrade.
A good upload speed depends on what you send, not just what you download. A video call needs around 3 Mbps, and cloud backups or large file uploads need more. Our nbn® 25 plan provides a typical evening upload speed of 9 Mbps, nbn® 50 provides 18 Mbps, nbn® 500 provides 42 Mbps and nbn® 1000 provides 96 Mbps. If you work from home, choose nbn® 500 or faster. See our nbn® speeds explained guide.
Our plans start at $54 per month for nbn® 25 for your first six months, then $69 ongoing. nbn® 50 is $69, nbn® 500 is $72 and nbn® 1000 is $85, each for your first six months. Every plan includes unlimited data and no lock-in contract.
An unlimited plan has no data cap, so you are never charged excess data fees. Every nbn® plan we offer includes unlimited data. We do not meter your usage or slow your speed once you reach a threshold.
Yes. Every plan is month to month with no lock-in contract and no cancellation fee*. You can upgrade at any time, and downgrade from the first day of your next billing cycle. There is no charge to change plans at the same address.

Your address connects using one of five technologies: fibre to the premises (FTTP), fibre to the node (FTTN), fibre to the building (FTTB), fibre to the curb (FTTC) or hybrid fibre coaxial (HFC).
On FTTN, FTTB and FTTC your speed is capped at 100 Mbps. You may be eligible for a $0 fibre upgrade.
