FTTP in Adelaide
South Australia’s first nbn® fibre site launched in Willunga on 16 September 2011, and full fibre has expanded across the state since. From October 2020, NBN Co began making Fibre to the Node (FTTN) premises eligible to upgrade to full fibre (FTTP), with South Australian premises orderable from 2022. Today much of greater Adelaide is eligible for a free FTTN to FTTP upgrade, and from 2026 NBN Co is retiring older copper connections.
If you are on FTTN, trigger a free fibre upgrade by ordering one of our high speed nbn® plans. FTTC upgrade eligibility is expanding from July 2026. Check your address here to see what you can get.
Full fibre future-proofs your connection for faster speeds and Wi-Fi 7 hardware like the eero 7 mesh system.

nbn® Adelaide FAQs
Just two simple steps to connect.
Step 1: Check my address. Enter your address to see if you can connect to the nbn®, then choose a plan based on your technology type.
Step 2: Get connected. If your nbn® is already active, our Aussie support team simply provisions your connection. Timing depends on your technology type, and for FTTP households it can be done within a few hours. Plug your new Swoop router into the data point (or set up your existing router) and enjoy life in the fast lane.
Installation (if required). Some addresses need an nbn® technician to finalise the connection first. If so, you just book a time slot that suits you, and once the work is done you are ready to go.

Swoop is one of Australia’s best-rated nbn® providers, named a 2026 ProductReview.com.au Award winner in the Internet Service Providers category. Because the ProductReview awards are decided entirely on real customer reviews, the recognition comes straight from our customers. Swoop runs its own fibre and Fixed Wireless network rather than reselling, with unlimited data and no lock-in contracts.

Yes. Every Swoop nbn® plan is month to month with no lock-in contract and no exit fee, and setup is $0 on a standard connection. You can bring your own compatible modem or buy one from us, and our team helps with the switch so you are not left offline.
A good speed depends on your household. Everyday browsing, streaming and video calls run well on nbn® 50, but if several people are online at once, or you work from home, game or stream in 4K, nbn® 500 or nbn® 1000 gives you the headroom to do it all.
For current nbn® outages in Adelaide, check Swoop’s live network status page at status.swoop.com.au.
It lists active incidents, planned maintenance and resolved issues. If your connection is down and no outage is listed, contact our local support team and we will investigate for you.
