FTTP in Adelaide
South Australia’s first NBN site was launched in Willunga, a town just south of Adelaide, on 16 September 2011. The state’s first FTTN service was switched on in September 2016, and in October 2020, Osbourne, a suburb in the west of Adelaide, was announced as the first place in South Australia to get the full fibre upgrade.
As of February 2023, around 90 suburbs of the greater Adelaide area are potentially eligible for FTTN to FTTP upgrades, according to the NBN Co. If you are in one of the eligible suburbs but your home or business hasn’t already been upgraded, you can trigger an upgrade by placing an order for one of our three highest nbn® speed tier plans.
