FTTP in the Gold Coast
Australia’s most populous non-capital region was one of the first places in Australia to experience super-fast broadband. The Gold Coast was chosen as the site of the NBN Co headquarters, which was officially launched in September 2012.
In October 2020, Oxenford, a suburb in the north of the Gold Coast, was announced as the first place in the region to get the upgrade to FTTP.
A large majority of the suburbs in the Gold Coast are now eligible for an upgrade to FTTP. If you are in one of the eligible suburbs but your home or business hasn’t already been upgraded, you can trigger an upgrade by placing an order for one of our three highest nbn® speed tier plans.
